"Bobbin Boy", Historical Textile Tool Restoration Experts

Alan and Milissa Dewey, renowned historical textile tool restoration experts will be at Hickory Ridge Sunday afternoon, July 22nd at 2:00pm.  Melissa will be discussing textile tools and demonstrating textile equipment including the weaving loom and various types of spinning wheels.  Alan will be doing consultations and repairs.  Bring your spinning wheels and looms for Bobbin Boy to examine.  On-site repairs are feww of charge.  We invite anyone who wants to come to bring your textile craft to knit, spin, or weave under the shade with us!  Light refreshments will be served.  The event is free but donations to the museum are welcomed.

Alan and Milissa Dewey are "Bobbin Boy", a husband and wife team based in Asheville, North Carolina.  Alan is a master woodturner from Yorkshire and London, England, and has worked with antiques and antiques restoration for nearly 30 years.  Milissa is a PhD educated historian, a journeyman woodturner, and also has worked in the fiber arts for over 20 years.
